Cadastral and cartographic data are read upon request by the official public services listed below and remain the property of the respective bodies; the information displayed has no certification value. For official map searches and extracts, please contact the Revenue Agency. GISCatasto is a field tool for consulting Italian cadastral cartography on Android. It covers the territory served by the Revenue Agency, excluding Trentino-Alto Adige, because Trento and Bolzano have their own provincial cadastre (land register system) that the Agency does not publish.
LAND REGISTRY
Query sheets and parcels from the Revenue Agency's official WFS services (INSPIRE standard). Guided search by municipality, sheet, and parcel, automatic zooming on selection, and export to KML.
MAPS
OpenStreetMap, OpenTopoMap, CARTO, and Esri basemaps, plus the national orthophoto from the National Geoportal (AGEA 2012, 50cm). Included, for example, are the regional technical maps (CTR) of seven regions—Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Liguria, Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily, and Tuscany—each visible at the scale for which it was drawn, indicated in the name. You can add your own WMS, WFS, WMTS, and ArcGIS servers, with opacity and style control.
CONNECTED FREE USE
Delimit the area with a rectangle on the map, save it as a KML—or use an existing KML—and download the maps before
departing. The saved maps remain available on site. The national orthophoto and the seven CTRs can be downloaded; the international basemaps remain online, as providers do not allow bulk copying of tiles.
SURVEYING TOOLS
WGS84, UTM, and MGRS coordinates. Compass, distance and area measurement, drawing, placemarks, KML, GPX, and GeoJSON import and export.
WHAT THIS APP DOESN'T DO
• It's not a navigation system: it draws the route on the map and indicates the direction, but it doesn't provide turn-by-turn directions or voice instructions.
• Off-route recalculation requires an internet connection: the route is calculated by an external service.
• The boundaries are accurate according to the land registry, which has an inherent inaccuracy of a few meters. It cannot be used to delimit property boundaries with legal validity.
• Land registry consultation requires an internet connection: the data is received from public services at the time of the request; the app does not keep a copy.
• Searching for locations requires an internet connection, and there are no suggestions as you type.
• Trentino-Alto Adige is excluded, for the reason stated above.
