About this app

This mobile application is one of the Selangor state's initiative under the Smart Selangor Delivery Unit (SSDU) to enhance the service of Smart Selangor Bus for the benefit of bus passengers as it will enable them to plan their bus journey better. User of the application would be able to access all the Free Bus information provided by all local councils of Selangor state. Information such as Estimated Time of Arrival is provided for each of the bus stops covered by the Free Bus Service.

To use the features provided in the application, user is required to register for an user account. Certain user information (such as phone number and email) is required during the registration step for us to be able to follow up on incident/feedback which user can submit through the application. Once user has registered an account through the application, an account activation email will be sent to the email and user is required to follow the instructions in the email to activate the account. Upon successful account activation, user will be able to login to the application and start using the application for bus ETA and tracking.

Smart Selangor Bus Programme was established by the Selangor State Government to provide an efficient and high quality public transportation service to its citizen. This programme was launched in July 2015 starting with 3 local authorities but it was later expanded to 11 authorities in 2016 due to overwhelming response from the public. A few criteria were set for Smart Selangor bus routes such as those area which has no access to commercial public bus service.

Ratings and reviews

Bus arrival times are accurate to half a minute or less . It's well designed in that everything is orderly and neatly displayed making this app comfortably easy to navigate. One necessary improvement would be adding the bus departure times from the terminal stations. A simple list beside the route info would be much quite convenient to refer to. Otherwise, this app is a great piece of work. It'd be incredibly useful if other bus lanes (eg. 751) had their own tracker.

The latest update to the app is good where you have the 2D view of the bus route. the old view was always confusing. Start times from the two endpoints/hub are still not updated, so we don't know when the next bus is initiated unless the bus starts moving. For bus stops like 1u, where it is the next stop to the hub/terminal, we cant get an estimate when it will next come. the app shows the time only when the bus starts moving and by then it'll be too late. Feedback is based on PJ06 route.

Mostly, this app is really useful, appreciate the effort of developing this. But just out of my curiousity, does the bus timing in app connected to bus wifi/gps which can be turned off by the driver. Because everytime the bus get delayed way lot than usual, it will not show in app(even if you check an hour before), instead it will show bus depart at hub at...which doesnt make me to think the app having issue. Not exactly sure of my thought but why not of expressing it right.
