About this app

Your neighbors, wherever you are. 🏘️
Gerany is the app for your neighborhood — see what's happening around you, meet your neighbors, and never miss what's on nearby.

📍 A feed that's actually local — Posts from people near you, sorted by distance. Choose your radius so you only see what's relevant. Hashtags for Recommendations, Lost & Found, and Safety.

🎟️ Explore local events — Discover experiences happening around you: classes, workshops, meetups, and more. See who's going, RSVP, grab a ticket, and add it straight to your calendar.

💬 Real conversations — Chat with neighbors: photos, videos, voice notes, documents, and your location. Then jump into an audio or video call without leaving the app.

🔒 Built on trust — Sign in with a passkey or your phone number, and control what you share. Export your data or delete your account anytime.

🔔 Stay in the loop — Push notifications for replies, messages, incoming calls, and event updates — even when the app is closed.

🏪 Run your business — A storefront you own: opening hours and a bookable calendar, memberships and class packs, a shop for real goods with shipping and tracking, and a shared inbox. A customer workspace shows who your regulars are.

Gerany is free to use. The optional Gerany+ subscription ($19.99/month, auto-renewing) adds longer group video calls, a wider feed radius, unlimited anonymous posts, and the ability to charge for what you offer — manage or cancel any time in your Google Play settings.

What’s new

Gerany now asks you to confirm if a contact's encryption identity changes, instead of replacing it silently. Distances read the same on every phone, in your own numerals. A post's details hold one line. On iPhone, verifying your identity is automatic again. Private space clears its keys when you sign out or delete your account.
