Air Gesture Scroll is an accessibility tool for people who find it difficult or impossible to touch the screen accurately, for example because of limited hand or arm mobility, tremor, paralysis, arthritis, amputation or a hand injury.
Instead of touching the screen, you make a simple hand gesture in front of the front camera and the app performs the touch for you:
• Flick your index finger up: swipe up (next item)
• Lower an open palm: swipe down (previous item)
• Thumbs up: double-tap (like)
WHY IT USES THE ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE
The app uses Android's Accessibility Service only to perform these swipes and double-taps on your behalf, so you can scroll through feeds, articles and videos without touching the device. It never reads or collects what is shown on your screen.
ADAPTS TO HOW YOU MOVE
Everyone moves differently. Record each gesture 20 times and the app learns your own range of motion, so small or slow movements can also be recognized. Recognition sensitivity can be adjusted at any time.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Camera images are processed only on your device and are never saved or uploaded.
GETTING STARTED
1. Turn on camera access, display over other apps and the accessibility service.
2. (Recommended) Record your own gestures. It takes about 3 minutes.
3. Tap Start recognition. A status badge at the top of the screen shows when your hand is recognized. Tap the badge to return to the app.
Available in English, Korean and Japanese.
Control your phone with hand gestures when touching the screen is hard for you.
