App idea: Clink is a mobile application designed to automate shared expense settlement within closed, trusted groups such as friends, roommates, and travel companions.
The problem it solves: When someone fronts a shared cost, collecting repayment usually means manually tracking, requesting, and chasing down what everyone owes. Clink automates that step: once an expense is logged, it auto-splits the cost and debits the other members directly, so the payer gets paid without asking.
App’s target audience: Small, closed, trust-based groups who already know each other and share recurring expenses, roommates, friend groups, and travel companions.
Core Payment Flow:
0. A user creates account, passes onboarding (KYC, bank account linking, authorizes ACH debits)
1. A user creates a group and invites members
2. Members join the group
3. One member pays an expense externally (e.g., dinner, rent, travel)
4. That member records the expense in Clink
5. Clink calculates each member’s share
6. ACH debits are automatically initiated from group members
7. Funds are transferred directly to the original payer
8. Transaction status updates after settlement
Fallback Responsibility
If an ACH debit fails due to:
● Insufficient funds
● Bank rejection
● Technical processing error
Then:
● The affected group member is not charged
● The failed portion of the expense is covered by the original payer
● No funds are advanced or covered by Clink
General notes:
• There’s no paid content or features within the app, no purchase of subscription flow. .
• Clink groups are closed, invite-only, and membership requires approval by the group creator. There is no public discovery or unsolicited contact between users. Group admins can remove any member from a group. In case of any issues, user can contact support inside the app -> Settings -> Contact Support..
