We’re on a mission to make our roads safer. Your Cruise will have more than 40 sensors, never get distracted or tired, and boast a 360° view of the road. Your Cruise can detect objects within centimeters. We’ve already logged millions of miles on San Francisco’s hectic streets.

It’s also fun. With no driver, you can sit back, relax and be completely you. Crank up your music or wind down after a long day—your ride style is totally up to you. It’s a magical, welcoming, judgment-free experience.

Ratings and reviews

Took a few rides in downtown Austin this week and had a great experience. Had to walk a little to what the car deemed a safe pick up spot (fair as we were on 6th) and everything was smooth from there! Watched the car even accommodate pedestrians that were not paying attention. Locations/times are limited, but seems to be due to a roll out/testing schedule, its perfect for late night Austin antics downtown and on the east side.

It's kind of a joke in Austin. You can only use it north of the river, west of 35, east of MoPac, and south of North Loop. Oh and you can't use it around UT. The hours are also limited to 8am to 5:30pm. Unless they expand, this app has very limited use. The "one week of free rides," advertisement is not usable for 90% of Austinites.

This was the worst experience I've ever had with a ride hailing service. They claim that rides are available from 9pm-5:30am, so I skipped my bus, but they refused to pick me up at 5:10, which is 20 minutes before the advertised cutoff. I had to pay for an uber instead. Shame on you, Cruise!
