You know the feeling. You pick up your phone to check one thing, and twenty minutes later you are deep in a feed that leaves you feeling worse than when you started.
Nafs gives you something better to do with those twenty minutes.
REPLACE SCROLLING WITH IBADAH
Nafs is not another screen time blocker that fights your phone. It is an ibadah app that replaces what you do on your phone. When the urge to scroll hits, you open Nafs instead and do something that actually matters.
Read the morning adhkar with full Arabic, transliteration, and English. Listen to Quran passages curated for your time budget. Count tasbeeh on a beautiful full-screen counter. Sing along to salawat with synced lyrics in Arabic, transliteration, and English. Read curated duas for every situation. Write personal duas in a private, encrypted journal.
Everything happens inside the app. No switching. No friction.
THE FAIR EXCHANGE: 1 MINUTE = 1 MINUTE
Every minute you spend in ibadah earns you one minute of screen time on the apps you choose to block. Read Quran for 15 minutes, earn 15 minutes of Instagram. Say your morning adhkar, earn 8 minutes of TikTok. The ratio is 1:1, plain and honest.
You choose which apps to block. You choose when to spend your earned time. Lock an app back early and get unused time refunded. A once-per-day emergency unlock handles real emergencies. Nafs trusts you.

BEAUTIFUL MILESTONES
Celebration screens designed to be screenshot-worthy. Share your 100-day Fajr streak or Ramadan summary with your family group chat.
ACCESSIBILITY PERMISSION DISCLOSURE
Nafs uses Android's Accessibility Service to power the screen time blocker. When you choose apps to block in Settings, Nafs uses Accessibility Service to detect when one of those blocked apps is opened on your phone, and shows you the redirect screen so you can choose to do ibadah instead of scrolling.
This is the only thing Accessibility Service is used for. Nafs does NOT read your messages, monitor your typing, capture content from other apps, or transmit any accessibility data off your device. All blocking decisions happen locally on your phone.
Granting this permission is optional. You can use Nafs for ibadah tracking, Quran reading, adhkar, dua journaling, and salawat without enabling Accessibility Service. The permission is only required for the app blocking feature. You can disable it anytime in your device Settings -> Accessibility, and the blocker simply turns off.
YOUR PRIVACY MATTERS
- All personal data stored locally and encrypted
- No data sold to advertisers
- No social feed, no followers, no likes
- No guilt-tripping notifications
- Your dua journal is yours alone
Nafs is a tool for your relationship with Allah, not a platform for performing religion in front of others.
Built with love and taqwa. Hasanat values in-app are symbolic representations to encourage worship. Only Allah determines true reward.
