The WE BUILD Portal is the central digital collaboration space for all participants of the WE BUILD Large Scale Pilot. With 182 organizations across Europe working together on the future of digital business identity, secure data sharing, and cross-border services, the portal is designed to ensure smooth cooperation, efficient communication, and structured delivery of results.
Exclusively accessible to WE BUILD consortium members, the portal provides a secure and dedicated environment where participants can align activities, exchange knowledge, and co-develop the innovative use cases that form the backbone of the project. It is not a public platform, but a tailored workspace built to serve the needs of our consortium throughout the duration of the pilot.

Key Capabilities
Powered by Open Social, the platform offers a wide range of tools and features that enable effective collaboration and knowledge management:
Community Spaces – Each use case, work package, or pilot area has its own dedicated community space. Members can join the groups relevant to their role and interact directly with colleagues, ensuring that knowledge stays organized and accessible.

- File Sharing and Document Collaboration – Upload, share, and manage project documents in one secure place. Collaborative editing ensures teams can work on tasks and deliverables together without version confusion.

- Tasks and Project Management – Assign, track, and complete tasks with clear timelines and responsibilities. This keeps all members aligned with the consortium’s objectives and grant agreement milestones.

- Discussions and Updates – Built-in discussion boards and update feeds help participants share progress, ask questions, and stay informed about consortium-wide developments.

- Networking and Profiles – Each participant has a member profile, making it easier to find expertise, connect with peers, and build strong working relationships across organizations and countries.

- Events and Meetings – Centralized event management makes it simple to organize consortium calls, workshops, and General Assemblies. Participants can RSVP, access agendas, and follow up on outcomes directly in the portal.

- Security and Compliance – Open Social provides enterprise-grade security. Hosting is based in the European Economic Area (EEA), with daily encrypted backups stored in AWS Frankfurt. Platform.sh ensures stable application and database hosting, while Cloudflare provides CDN and DDoS protection with data residency in the EEA. The system is ISO 27001 certified and fully GDPR compliant, aligning with the highest standards of data protection.
