About this app

Everyone you're praying for, in one place.

The scrap of paper in the back of the missal, the note in your phone, the name you were sure you'd remember — Prayer Chain gathers all of it into one list that doesn't lose things.

Add the people on your heart, write down how they're doing as things change, and get a quiet nudge at a time you choose. Nothing you add is seen by anyone else. It is simply your list.

Add who you're praying for
A name and a few words is enough. Type who is on your heart and what they're facing, and save it. It is on your list from that second.

Pray through your list
Open the app and there they all are, grouped by what they're going through — illness, surgery, a loss, a thanksgiving — so you are not trying to hold the whole list in your head.

Keep track of how it went
Surgery went well. The results came back. Write it down, and the note stays with that person, so you can look back at what you prayed for and what happened.

YOU DO NOT NEED AN ACCOUNT

Choose "Use privately on this device" the first time you open Prayer Chain, and everything you write stays in your own device's storage. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else. We cannot read it, and we do not know it exists.

That is the whole app, working, with nothing to sign up for.


IF YOUR PARISH OR GROUP USES PRAYER CHAIN

Some parishes and prayer groups run a shared chain, so when one member offers a request, the whole group is praying for that person. If yours does, they'll give you a code to join, and an administrator approves you.

In a shared chain, what you post is visible to the other approved members of that group and to nobody else. Groups are kept separate on the server, not merely hidden in the app. A request you mark personal is visible only to you. You can report anything that doesn't belong, and block a member whose posts you would rather not see.


PRIVACY

Prayer requests are personal, and often they are about somebody else — an illness, a surgery, a bereavement. We treat them that way.

• No advertising, and there never will be any
• No analytics, no third-party tracking, no advertising identifier
• Nothing you write is ever sold or rented
• Delete your account at any time — immediately in the app, or by asking us
