About this app

Ulix is accounting software for small businesses and the people who keep their books. It is a full double-entry ledger, so every invoice, bill, bank transaction and journal entry posts to your chart of accounts and your reports always tie out.

INVOICES AND BILLS
• Create, send and track invoices; customers can pay online by card or bank (through your own Stripe account)
• Record bills and vendor payments, with A/R and A/P aging
• Estimates, recurring invoices, statements and e-signature requests

RECEIPTS AND DOCUMENTS
• Snap a receipt or bill with your camera and file it to the right company
• Optional AI reading fills in vendor, date and amounts (you can switch it off)
• Organized document folders and secure client rooms

BANKING
• Connect your bank or import bank and card transactions, then reconcile them
• Categorize transactions with suggested accounts

REPORTS
• Profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow, trial balance, general ledger, budget vs actual
• Drill down from any number to the entries behind it, and fix them in place
• Export to CSV and Excel

FOR PROFESSIONALS
• Run several companies from one sign-in
• Invite your accountant or bookkeeper, with client details kept private when you choose
• Accounting firms: one console for every client company
• Legal practices: time keeping with billable hours, mileage, and client trust (IOLTA) accounting with three-way reconciliation

SECURITY
• Optional two-step sign-in with an authenticator app
• Delete your account and data from Settings at any time
