It doesn't take much to keep your skin under control and, if in doubt, get an operational opinion from specialists, using the Click the mole app. Thanks to the collaboration between CentroStudiGISED and LILT, the Click il Neo app expands its range of action on the Italian territory by being extended to some new provinces and enriching itself with a useful tool, the Melanoma Risk Calculator, which provides an estimate of the individual probability to develop melanoma over 5 years.

ATTENTION: the service is available exclusively for people residing in the provinces of Bergamo, Como, Benevento and Vicenza.

Click the Neo is a tool through which it is possible to send images of suspected moles to the site's dermatologists and have an initial evaluation of their characteristics. Always considering that this tool does not replace the visit to a specialist dermatologist, it will still be possible to have advice regarding the nature of the moles we see on the skin.

What is it about?
Click il Neo is basically a communication channel that is always open, usable by anyone who realizes they have a "strange" mole, a mole that changes shape, size and color over time, a mole never seen before and wants to have a first evaluation ( which has no diagnostic value) but which may or may not suggest the possibility of resorting to a dermatological examination.

How to do?
It's all very simple. Just take a picture of the mole using your mobile phone and send it through the app, also answering some useful questions for evaluating the lesion. You will receive a response from the doctors as soon as possible. On first use, the user will also be registered with the service so that he can subsequently access his documentation through the app under development.

What characteristics should the images have?
For a correct evaluation, the images must have a resolution> 1Mpx, and must be taken at a distance between about 7 and 15 cm, in macro mode for devices that allow it. The photographed area must be well lit, preferably with natural light avoiding the flash.

Ratings and reviews

The app is not working anymore as a research project since the beginning of 2018, therefore you cannot submit your pics for free. It is annoying that you have to give in all the data before this is communicated. Additionally you cannot delete the profile.
