About this app

Take your KiCad projects with you. Open a project folder on your Android device to inspect its schematics, component list, and printed circuit boards wherever you are. Use built-in electronics calculators for quick checks, even without a project open.

KiCadViewer is an unofficial, read-only companion for KiCad. It is not developed by or affiliated with the KiCad project.

Explore schematics
• Open modern KiCad schematic files (.kicad_sch) from a project folder.
• Navigate between schematic pages and hierarchical sheets.
• Zoom, pan, and fit a drawing to the screen.
• Tap a symbol to inspect its properties, or tap a wire or label to highlight its connected net on the current sheet.
• Adjust text size, label and pin spacing, line thickness, and display colors.
• See a warning and a list when schematic symbols cannot be resolved.

Review components
• Browse parts by value groups or in a complete list.
• Search the project’s components.
• Check references, values, footprints, library identifiers, and descriptions when available.

Inspect PCB layouts in 2D
• Open KiCad board files (.kicad_pcb) and switch between top and bottom views.
• Show or hide copper, masks, silkscreen, tracks, vias, pads, text, zones, and other board objects.
• Select board items and highlight their connected net.
• Customize colors for board layers and the highlighted net.

Explore boards in 3D
• Rotate and zoom the board, including its underside.
• Choose which board layers and component models to display.
• Change board and silkscreen colors. Supported 3D models appear when their files are available in the project folder.

Calculate as you work
• Access 28 calculators across electronics, PCB, and circuit design from the home screen.
• Estimate resistor values, filters, trace properties, impedance, timing, and more with searchable tools and worked examples.
• Enter engineering prefixes and see results update as you change values. Calculations are estimates; check their stated assumptions before using them in a design.

Made for quick project checks
• Reopen recently viewed project folders.
• Choose a light or dark app theme and a separate visualization palette for each appearance.
• Set the app language to English or Russian.
• Work offline: project files are read on your device.

KiCadViewer is for viewing only. It does not edit designs or write changes to your KiCad project files. Display support depends on the KiCad file features, symbol libraries, and 3D model formats included with a project. KiCad and its logos are trademarks of their respective owners.
