About this app

Loopky is a flashcard app built on spaced repetition — the method that brings a card back just before you would have forgotten it, so you spend your time on what you are about to lose instead of what you already know.

COMING FROM ANKI?

Import your .apkg decks directly. Cards and images come across, and you can start studying straight away — no export scripts, no CSV wrangling, no conversion tool in between.

And the intervals are the ones you chose. Set how many days Hard, Good and Easy are worth, and that is what a card gets, every review. No ease factor drifting in the background, no button that says three days and quietly schedules twenty.

FIVE WAYS TO STUDY

• Tap to reveal — the card flip you already know.
• Type the answer — check your spelling and accents before the card turns. A near miss tells you to look again instead of handing over the answer.
• Listen — hear the card read aloud in its own language.
• Speak — say the answer out loud and have it checked.
• Reverse — the same card asked in both directions, without doubling your deck.

BUILD A DECK IN SECONDS

Paste a list and Loopky splits it into cards — tabs, dashes, commas, one pair per line, most of the shapes you already have lying around. Or import a file, or add cards by hand.

Add a picture from your gallery or search the web for one without leaving the editor. Set the two languages a deck teaches, and the audio modes turn on.

A daily goal keeps you honest, and it is a goal, not a cap: reaching it is worth celebrating, and there is always another card if you want one.

DECKS FROM OTHER PEOPLE

Browse what others have published, follow the decks you want to keep up with, and copy any of them into your own library to edit and make yours. Tags and trending make it easy to find the subject you are after.

YOUR ACCOUNT IS A KEY, NOT AN EMAIL

No email address, no password, no profile to fill in before you can study. Loopky uses Pubky, an open identity you carry between apps, and your decks live on your own homeserver rather than in a company's database. Back up twelve words and your library follows you to any device — including your review history, so a card you graded on your phone is scheduled the same on your tablet.

What’s new

Search now lives on Discover as a floating bar, instead of its own screen.

Deck pages have a floating Start studying button and tidier header actions.

Signing in with Pubky Ring tells you when approval is taking a while, and keeps one that arrives late instead of timing out.

Also: a segmented theme picker in Settings, profiles that open straight from cache, deck cover emoji on Today, and a smoother splash.

On tablets: a deck split you can drag, and a centered tab bar.
