Android DAISY Reader

[What is a DAISY Reader?]
It's an app for reading (listening to) ebooks created using DAISY, the international standard for digital audiobooks for people who have difficulty reading books.

[Main Functions and Features]
1. Supports three types of DAISY books:

* Audio DAISY: Narration by human voice or synthesized speech, and structured data such as headings (mainly DAISY 2.02 standard)
* Multimedia DAISY: Audio, text, and images are synchronized, and the part being read is highlighted (EPUB 3, DAISY 2.02 standard)
* Text DAISY: Structured text only, without audio (mainly DAISY 3 standard)

[How to Use]
Button operation is done by double-clicking. A single click will read out the button's name (menu operations and settings do not require a double-click).

1. How to open a book (several ways to open a book)

1. Download a free DAISY book: "Download Book"

1. A notification will appear on your Android device when the download is complete.

2. Clicking the notification will open the book; choose between Simple Mode and Visual Mode to open the book.

2. In your Android files, select the target file and choose "Open with App".

2. The book will open; choose between Simple Mode and Visual Mode to open the book.

3. Once you open a book, it will appear in your recently read books from now on.

4. Books downloaded with this app will also appear in "Scan Books" (the files displayed will vary depending on your Android version).

2. Simple Mode

Simple Mode is specialized for listening to audio. Text is not displayed. Operation is done by clicking and swiping on the screen.

Double-click the center of the screen: Show table of contents

Click the center of the screen: Stop/resume playback

Swipe down: Next chapter

Swipe up: Previous chapter

Swipe right: Next section

Swipe left: Previous section

3. Visual Mode

Visual mode displays the text. The section you are reading is highlighted.

Operation is done using the buttons displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Several functions can be used from the menu. (Bookmarks, table of contents, switch to simple mode, etc.)
