About this app

Giving People is a children's rights organization that works with emergency help with food and other important necessities. Since its inception in September 2013, the organization has provided a large number of food bags, clothes, shoes and hygiene items to families with children throughout Sweden.

Giving People works unconditionally with a focus on the children. The organization works mainly with donors, private individuals who become part of our network and who go out with help to the families seeking help.

Giving People's target group is vulnerable children in Sweden who live in poverty and the families with children who are on their way to poverty and live on the margins. Today, about 186,000 children live in what is classified as relative poverty, which is based on household income. An additional 175,885 children live in families whose income is measured by the bailiff, which makes these children a highly vulnerable target group. The organization can catch the families who need short-term help to cope with a difficult situation and break something that in the long run could become a permanent poverty. For families with children living in poverty, Giving People can provide help that in the long run means a way out of poverty.
