I would give this half a star if I could. The game shoves ads and asks you to fork over money before you even get to see the tutorial. Id say in the 20 minutes I played this game, more than half of that time was spent in ads. They pop-up mid-level and directly lead to losing lives in-game. Of course, there's also a pay-to-play life system. So dont worry, the game is playable and fun, you just need to waste as much of your money on this 87th copy of paper.io as possible.

Ads in the middle of the run with zero warning. And then the game doesn't even at least give you a second to recover from the ad, so it's often game over just because of a poorly timed ad. I get you need to make money off the game, but if the player is getting a game over because as pop ups, you should be trying to make money elsewhere, period. I see the devs replying - if you actually made ads less intrusive, maybe players would stay longer and you wouldn't need to spam us with them

The ads have been complained about enough, but my biggest problem is that aside from the satisfying/addictive nature of the game, it's just so. boring. like there's literally nothing apart from the super repetitive concept, which would be fine if it didn't pretend there was other stuff. for example: gems. they're literally useless and do absolutely nothing, yet you can pay for a subscription that gives you more, and you can watch ads for it too. like. what?? what am I getting from this.
