TaskLock is a powerful productivity and focus app designed to help you reduce smartphone distractions and take full control of your time. In a world filled with constant notifications and endless scrolling, TaskLock gives you the discipline needed to stay committed to your goals.
You can instantly lock your device for a fixed duration using Quick Focus Sessions, making it perfect for study time, deep work, workouts, or important tasks. With Smart Scheduling, you can create recurring focus periods for your daily routine, and TaskLock will automatically activate at the right time.
Deep Focus Mode (Premium) strengthens your commitment by limiting optional breaks during active sessions. Detailed analytics help you track your progress, monitor total focus time, and see how your productivity improves over time.
Accessibility Service Usage:
TaskLock uses the Accessibility Service API to enable its core app-blocking functionality and help users stay focused.
How it works: Detects when selected distracting apps are opened and instantly displays a blocking screen.
Why required: Without this, the app cannot monitor launches or block apps effectively.
Privacy: TaskLock does NOT collect, store, or share any personal data.
Device Administrator Permission Usage:
TaskLock uses the Device Administrator permission to provide advanced focus enforcement features.
How it works: This permission allows the app to programmatically lock the device's screen when a focus session is active.
Why this permission is required: It is used for the "System Lock" feature to enforce discipline. It prevents users from bypassing focus sessions by locking the system, ensuring they stay committed to their tasks.
Important Information: This permission is used ONLY for triggering the system lock. TaskLock does not use this to change passwords, wipe data, or monitor any other device activities.
Important Privacy & Safety:
TaskLock does NOT collect, store, or share any personal data, messages, or sensitive content.
All permissions (Accessibility & Device Admin) are used strictly for focus and productivity features only.
User Control: Users have full control and can enable or disable these permissions anytime from the app or device settings.
