ABOUT ME

I’m Scott, aka Gluten Dude. I was diagnosed with celiac in 2007 and started blogging in 2011 to help others navigate the same overwhelming path. For more than 15 years, I’ve been advocating for this community — calling out the BS, raising awareness, and pushing for better support.

Five years ago, I launched this app to take that mission even further, giving you tools to travel, dine, and live gluten-free with more confidence and less stress. Now I’ve rebuilt it from the ground up to serve the gluten-free community even better.

Ratings and reviews

The app is fine, but it lists so few places that it's not very useful if you want to find new places. Yeah yeah, the vetting process is their secret sauce, but it fails miserably at being useful. There are places listed that I *know* are not safe. There are places that are "safe" but have no real options. There are dedicated GF places that are missing. I'm going to personally vet any place I eat anyway, so I'd much rather use a different app that shows me the full list and gives me choices.

Edited stars while this is worked on. Thanks for response! App doesn't work. I downloaded and signed in. It goes to the main screen with the options for places to eat or places to drink. I click on anything else from there and nothing happens. I even clicked on the area to subscribe thinking maybe I need a subscription to see anything. There was nothing clickable to subscribe either. Guess I will stick with Find me GF.

Love this app! I rely on this app to find celiac safe places to go to - whether it's finding a lunch spot to go out with co-workers, finding a date night location, or researching safe places while on vacation. Love the dude vetting and all of the notes for almost each different location. I personally am not a drinker, so I don't use that component of the app. But, I love the coupons and I'm excited to see this app's evolution to continue the support for our gluten-free community!
