About this game

Inspired by classic open-world PC RPGs, GlyphGrave is a deep, sandbox style party-based fantasy RPG game for players who want a world that reacts. Lead 1–6 adventurers across a vast island chain of towns, wilderness, seas, and multi-level dungeons. Travel takes real time on a living calendar. Weather and day-night cycles change what you can do outdoors and in town. Choices leave lasting marks. Death can be final.

A VAST, EXPLORABLE WORLD
The overworld is a large grid of islands and biomes — temperate lands, deserts, swamps, arctic coasts, mountains, and open ocean. Zoom out on the world map; buy island charts at general stores to reveal shores and nearby seas. Sail your own boat between ports, moor at harbors, and fight from the deck when sea foes strike — or try to Sail Away when storm or fog hides your hull. Explore local maps with fog of war: forage, mine mountain veins, find shrines and graves, stumble on rare wilderness quests, and descend dungeon stairs into deeper danger.

TOWNS THAT KEEP THEIR OWN TIME
Towns are walkable hubs with weapon and armor shops, magic shops, alchemy, blacksmiths, assayers, general stores, inns, taverns, temples, banks, prisons, and guild halls. Many buildings have upstairs floors. Citizens follow daily schedules — work, errands, tavern, home, and sleep — so who you meet changes with the hour. Doors lock at night; shops and banks close while inns and taverns stay open. Prices, training, and welcome shift with crime and reputation. Bank gold, rent storage, take loans, train skills, forge gear, brew potions, enchant items, recharge wands, and fence loot at the Thieves' Guild or take contracts at the Assassins' Guild.

A DETAILED CRIME AND REPUTATION SYSTEM
Each town tracks its own warrant and reputation — not a simple wanted star. Assault, murder, trespassing, break-ins, theft, pickpocketing, lockpicking, grave robbery, and resisting arrest all matter. Quiet crimes need a waking witness with line of sight; walls and corners block vision. Loud acts like bashing wake a whole building and can alert the street. Citizens who see a crime run to shout for the nearest guard. Weather, fog, and night shorten how far sight and sound carry outdoors. Moderate trouble gets you refused at inns, banks, and temples; notorious standing brings pursuit and arrest — pay a fine, serve jail, or try a bribe. Clearing a warrant does not erase a bad reputation; standing recovers slowly, and honest town work helps. Trouble in one town does not follow you everywhere.

TACTICAL COMBAT, PARTIES, AND PROGRESSION
Build from 4 races and 10 classes — Fighter, Ranger, Thief, Assassin, Mage, Necromancer, Cleric, Druid, Bard, and Alchemist — each with firm weapon and armor limits. Combat is tactical turn-based with action points for move, melee, ranged, spells, and items. Ambush, stealth, summons, poison, bribes, and fleeing are all tools. Skills improve through use and paid training. Spells spend mana (and sometimes reagents); utility magic includes Identify, Unlock, Mark, and Recall. Alchemy, scribing, crafting, mining, and enchanting give long crafting paths beyond buying the next sword.

QUESTS, DUNGEONS, AND HARD CHOICES
Follow a main story that eventually sends you into wilder country and across the sea. Take tavern board jobs, guild contracts, NPC requests, and rare finds in the wild or on dungeon floors. Multi-level dungeons hide locked doors, trapped chests, scarce light, and deeper foes — bring light, healing, lock tools, and an escape plan. Optional permadeath makes a full wipe permanent; without it, temples and rare magic can restore the fallen. Camp with proper gear, watch poison and disease, and pick your fights.

Includes over 1,500 high-quality images, plus 150+ hours gameplay (depending on play style)- with each game generating an entirely new world. Make your name — or dig your grave.
