The expedition plant is a terrain tool for students of biological species knowledge, enthusiasts and professionals who use species information in their work. The application brings together the data produced by Finnish researchers and enthusiasts over the decades, e.g. species descriptions, analytical formulas and drawings of the long-sold out-of-the-box Camping Plant, attached to an up-to-date nomenclature and taxonomy. Species descriptions are supported by Digitized Collection Samples and professionally reviewed photographic materials.
The expedition plant has tools for managing local species and studying botanical concepts, as well as the opportunity to save your own observations in the Species Information Centre's Booklet system. In the map views, you can view the nearly 10 million plant observations stored in the Species Information Center's systems. You can browse the most important Pinkka study modules in university species education directly in the application.
