About this app

The application allows you to calculate the total yardage (or meterage) of yarn when combining several threads of different thicknesses.

Please note: yarn skeins are often packaged in 25g, 40g, 50g, 150g, 200g, etc. For this app, you need to specify the meterage per 100 grams.

This is useful for people who do hand or machine knitting and need to choose the right tools, estimate the final weight of a project, create a custom yarn blend of a desired thickness, or calculate yarn consumption.

To perform the calculation, enter the number of meters per 100 grams for each thread in the input field. For example: 500+1500+750
If the number is not whole, use a decimal point. For example: 275.5+347.5

If needed, you can use the slider to round the result.

After pressing the "OK" button, the screen will display the final meterage per 100 grams for the combined threads.
