Latch blocks the apps you choose, when you choose, and keeps blocking when you try to talk yourself out of it.
Free, and always free
• Block up to 3 apps on a schedule, for example work hours or bedtime
• Strict mode with a cooldown you set in advance: ending early means waiting it out
• An uninstall guard and a Settings block during strict sessions
• 5 minutes of break glass a day, logged
• A health check that tells you the moment protection drops, with a fix guide for Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo and other phones
• Suggested rules picked from the apps you actually use
• A home-screen widget with the time you saved today
Latch Pro
• Unlimited apps and rules
• Daily time limits, launch limits and a pause before an app opens, with a warning 5 minutes before a limit ends
• Block feeds inside apps: YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Explore and Stories, WhatsApp Status. The rest of each app keeps working
• Smart suggested rules that cover every app you use at those hours
• Modes: Work, Study, Sleep or your own, switched with one tap, from Quick Settings, or on their own at a set time, with strict mode if you want it
• Insights: 30 days of use for the apps your rules cover, your best day and your trend
• Silence blocked apps: their notifications wait until the block ends. Calls and alarms always ring
• App lock: a PIN or pattern on Latch so nobody else changes your rules
• Focus timer, weekly report, partner code and colour themes
What holds and what does not
Blocks keep working after a reboot, a force stop or an app update. They do not survive Safe Mode or a factory reset; nothing on Android can.
Private by design
No account. No ads. Latch has no internet permission, so nothing you do leaves your phone.
Accessibility
Feed blocking uses Android's Accessibility service, only after you agree to a clear notice. Latch reads view IDs, never text, only in the apps you chose and your home screen app, to close a blocked feed and to hide a blocked app's preview in Recent apps. It is optional; app blocking works without it.
Block apps, Shorts and Reels by schedule or limit. Strict mode that holds.
