About this app

Godren Whisker is a catalogue of drink recipes with a straightforward job: get you from an idea, or from whatever happens to be in the fridge, to a finished drink in your hand.

WHAT IS INSIDE Smoothies, protein shakes, herbal teas, coffee, juices and infused waters, citrus and ginger blends, and cold refreshers. Every recipe carries a full ingredient list, quantities, prep time, servings and numbered steps, so nothing is left to guesswork halfway through.

START FROM WHAT YOU HAVE This is the part most recipe apps skip. Mark the ingredients currently in your kitchen and the app sorts everything against that list. Recipes you can make right now come first. Then the ones where a single ingredient is missing, with the missing item named, so you know whether it is worth a trip to the shop. Then the rest. You can also tick ingredients off inside a recipe while you check the cupboard, and see the gaps before you start rather than at step three.

THE COOKING MODE Tap Start and the recipe stops being a page and becomes one step at a time, in type you can read from across the counter. Previous and Next, nothing else in the way. Steps that involve waiting have a timer built into them, so brewing, steeping and chilling are handled by the app instead of by guesswork, and one recipe can carry several timers.

YOUR OWN RECIPES Create a drink from scratch with a name, a photo, a category, servings, prep time, an ingredient list in the units you actually use and as many steps as it takes, each with an optional photo and timer. Reorder steps freely. Duplicate a recipe to experiment without losing the original.

YOUR OWN VERSIONS Found something close but not right? Create My Version copies it and lets you change the ingredients, the proportions and the method, and add your own notes, while the original recipe stays as it was. Over time your version is the one you actually make.

FAVOURITES AND COLLECTIONS Save what you like and group it the way you think: breakfast drinks, summer, five minute recipes, things to try later. A recipe can belong to several collections at once. My Recipes gathers your favourites, your own creations, your versions, your collections and what you made recently.

SEARCH AND FILTERS Search by name, ingredient, category, tag or drink type, across both the built in recipes and your own. Filter by type, temperature, prep time, number of ingredients, and by no added sugar, dairy free, vegan or caffeine free.

UNITS AND SETTINGS Metric or imperial throughout, light or dark theme, image display options, plus export and backup of your recipes.

OFFLINE AND PRIVATE Everything runs on the device without a connection, and nothing is published or shared anywhere. No account, no registration.
