Golden Cavern is a minecart descent through a living gold shaft. You steer a weighted cart left and right under four glowing veins, catching coins, amber, and relics while rocks try to close the rails.
The game is built around Vein Echo. A caught coin rings the nearest seam and, for a short breath, nearby gold curves toward the cart. Keep the chain alive and the pulse grows. Miss a treasure or strike stone and the shaft goes quiet. Amber refills a lantern charge. A lantern surge freezes falling rock and pulls a whole cluster in. Past depth 80 you may seal the haul and leave, or stay for a deeper, faster vein.
Three expeditions change the weather of the shaft. Shaft Run is the balanced route. Gold Fever begins almost kind, then ruptures. Tremor Vein pushes treasure sideways and hides more relics in the current.
Around the cart sit a cavern codex on vein geology and shaft craft, a relic journal unlocked by what you catch, a records ledger with marks, and a bench for steering, haptics, echo rings, and vein pressure. The identity is not a generic catcher. It is a cartwright’s tool for reading a shaft that answers back.
