About this app

Q-Weld is a professional documentation app for Thermit® welding in railway track construction and maintenance. Developed by Goldschmidt, it supports welders on site and provides project managers with reliable, real-time access to quality-related welding data.
It guides you through the entire documentation process for every Thermit® weld, from shift creation and consumables scans to photo uploads – and syncs everything to the secure, globally accessible Dari® cloud platform.

FOR WELDERS IN THE FIELD
Create and manage shifts directly on your mobile device. Document each weld step by step: preparation, welding, alignment check and photographic documentation. Scan Thermit® portions, moulds, and G-Tags with the integrated barcode scanner. Record environmental data, including rail temperature, weather conditions, preheating time and tapping time. The app can be used fully offline – all data is stored locally and synchronised once connectivity is restored.

FOR PROJECT MANAGERS AND BACK OFFICE
Access shift and weld data in real time via the Goldschmidt Dari® platform. You can track progress across active projects, review quality records and maintain complete traceability of all welding operations, including geolocation data and information on consumable batches.

TRACEABILITY AND DATA QUALITY
Every weld is fully documented with consumable batch data, GPS coordinates, timestamps, photo evidence and a unique G-Tag identifier. This supports quality assurance, compliance and long-term asset management for railway infrastructure.
