Oh dear #2. I've sadly deleted the app due to recent changes that are force feeding me video and audio adverts on games (for example) in which I have no interest. Furthermore the adverts do not appear with an immediately visible option to close, just one to mute. I've been here before with a previous update six years ago (Oh dear #1) that was thankfully rolled back. I suspect this time I will not be as lucky. Damn shame as it was a good app despite the squeeze on ads. This one is too much for me

Thanks for your feedback. You should not be getting any ads that can't be closed, or auto-play audio. Please feel free to email us (see contact section of website) with examples and we can investigate. Ads allow us to keep This Is Anfield free and pay our staff fairly.

it's my go to app everyday. When it's during season I check several times daily. Articles are informative and very upto the minute.

The app is a great representation to the web version of the site, it offers updated and confirmed team related news regularly. My only comment is when in the middle of reading and article and I switch to another app then back to this I would have to scroll all the way down to where I was before the switch. Maybe it's my version of the phone/os. But still it would be more convenient if sorted out by devs. edit: needing to scroll back doesn't happen any more.

Hi Mohamed, thanks for the great review - thanks! On the issue you're having, I think you're right that it may be down to your phone. I have just tested leaving the app and going back in, and it does stay in the same place in the article for me. Thanks again.
