This is the first tentative release of Zoop Out: a small beginning that will expand as the books do. Expect a short first expedition, provisional flight rules and a universe still taking shape.
Your ship. A whole world beneath the window. Something unfamiliar on the scanner.
Step aboard Zoop Out, an evolving space exploration game inspired by Ian Pedlar's book series. Fly through a small region around Earth, investigate a repeating signal and bring your discovery home.
TAKE THE CONTROLS
Steer and use the ship's current flight controls yourself, or ask Kev, your onboard intelligence, to help you approach a destination. Zoop to a new position, then match motion before investigating.
RETURN WHERE YOU LEFT OFF
Your position, motion, cargo and discoveries are saved on your device. Leaving the game pauses your world. Come back and continue your flight.
A FIRST EXPEDITION
This first public preview includes one recovery expedition, a survey relay and a home marker. Explore a live 3D Earth view in landscape, with atmosphere, cloud imagery and cabin sound. You can continue flying after completing the expedition.
A WORLD THAT IS STILL GROWING
The game will evolve alongside the Zoop Out books. Flight mechanics and technology are provisional; this library simulation is a game scenario, not a literal retelling of the novels. This release is a small first region, not a complete galaxy. Kev's dialogue is currently text, not spoken audio.
PLAY OFFLINE
No account, advertising or in-app purchases. Optional links to the books are tucked inside the ship menu; no purchase or prior reading is needed to play. The game itself runs offline. Book links and sending feedback use external apps.
Built for landscape play on Android devices with working WebGL graphics support. Saved progress is local: uninstalling or clearing app data removes it.
Enjoy the flight, and tell us what you would like to discover next.
Fly above Earth, zoop through space and discover the evolving world of Zoop Out.
