Safety Animal Map is an interactive map where users mark real-time encounters with animals.
The app helps you quickly find out where animals have been spotted nearby and share your own observations with others. It helps determine safe routes in case dangerous animals or insects have been recorded in a particular area.
How it works
• The map displays points (markers) — these are places where animals have been recently seen.
• The closer you are to the area of interest, the more accurate and up-to-date the information.
• Data is updated automatically as new observations come in.
How to use
1. Select an animal
Tap the selection button and specify which animal you want to track or mark.
2. Set the time period
Choose a time interval (15 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day, etc.) to see the latest observations.
3. Explore the map
• Move around the map.
• Zoom in on the desired area.
• Animal coordinates load automatically.
4. Send an observation
If you see an animal, mark the encounter on the map:
• Select the animal from the list.
• Tap the send button.
• Wait for your location to be determined and the submission to complete.
• The marker will appear on the map.
Limitations
• Sending observations is time-limited (anti-spam protection).
• Access to geolocation is required for the app to work.
• Accuracy depends on the GPS signal.
Purpose
The app helps:
• Increase personal safety when planning routes.
• Track animal activity.
• Help other users.
Data Accuracy
The accuracy of animal location depends on the distance between the user and the animal. Usually it ranges from 1–2 meters for small animals to 5–50 meters for large predators.
Important
All data is added by users. Be careful in dangerous areas and do not approach animals too closely.
What data is collected
When sending an observation, the app transmits only the user\'s current geolocation and time. No personal information (name, email, phone number, device ID, etc.) is collected or transmitted.
The app is intended solely for personal use and increasing your own safety.
