Ratings and reviews

For a podcast player, it's pretty good. As a podcaster, I'm more impressed that all of my podcast's 7 seasons are easily found on Goodpods. Over the years, I've had to change platforms a few times due to changes in storage limits, elimination of certain features, or other changes to the platforms. It was a nice surprise to discover I could easily go to any previous season of my podcast and listen to an episode from years earlier and from a different platform...all in one place.

I began using Goodpods in order to support smaller companies. The app I loaded onto my Android device could really use some help. It isn't very easy to keep track of which was the last episode I listened to on my saved podcasts. It would also help if when I navigated to my saved podcast series page, I could be presented with a list of episodes immediately, without having to click on anything. Mediocre app with lots of room to improve if they want to compete with the big guys.

I wanted to like this, but this app is absolutely devouring my battery. I'm not auto-downloading every episode and my phone is not even a year old. I can't imagine how this app could consume this much energy. I've used other podcast apps in the past and this has never been an issue, so it's notable enough to mention. Otherwise, this is a fine app; the only other thing it's missing is a button to mark something as listened to already so it falls off the New Episodes queue.
