About this app

The WifiRttScan app is a research, demonstration, and testing tool for developers, vendors, universities, and more. With this app it is possible to obtain a 1-2 meter range accuracy to nearby WiFi-RTT (802.11mc) capable access points. This is especially useful indoors where GPS is not available. Developers, OEMs and researchers can use this tool to validate range measurements enabling the development of positioning, navigation and context-aware applications based on the WiFi-RTT API.

This is the best tool for testing during wifi RTT app dev (we are making an indoor nav system). If it got a thumbs up from an MIT EE/CS prof, this is the gold standard to use. It displays nearby RTT capable APIs with measurements like range (inc mean, SD), num requests, etc. Perfect for sanity checking calculations in real space. The dev team behind this app is very responsive. I found this app on reddit and I asked which devices were supported. The team posted documentation a day later.

Anybody know why it's telling me I'm 10m away from a Google Wi-Fi access point I'm less than 2' from? It certainly increases the distances when I move away, it just doesn't seem calibrated correctly. Pixel 3 XL.

It’s hard to replicate your situation with the information provided. Please update your phone to the latest OS version and try the new version of the app.

Cannot use the "share file" option while logging data since it always tries to send it via sms which does not support csv files? Also, app say files are saved locally on device in folders that don't exist on my Samsung..

Hi, if you only see SMS, try resetting your sharing settings: https://support.google.com/pixelphone/thread/103788115/how-to-change-a-default-sharing-option?hl=en The logs are saved in the app directory and cannot be accessed unless you explicitly share it: e.g. upload it to Google Drive or download it to a directory on your phone.
