The city of A Coruña has been chosen to host the 7th National Congress on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Management on October 7 and 8, 2025. The event will take place at PALEXCO - the A Coruña Exhibition and Congress Center. This venue is intended to bring together all stakeholders involved in WEEE management: producers, distributors, waste managers, and public administrations.
The organizers of this environmental event are the Collective Systems of Extended Producer Responsibility for Electrical and Electronic Equipment (SCRAP): AMBILAMP, ECOASIMELEC, ECOFIMÁTICA, ECOLEC, ECOLUM, ECO-WEEE, ECOTIC, and EUROPEAN RECYCLING PLATFORM, in collaboration with the Xunta de Galicia.
The main objective of the Congress is to raise awareness of the current status of WEEE management in Spain, its importance within the Circular Economy, and to serve as a meeting point for all stakeholders to foster collaboration.
Following the experiences of Antequera in 2017, Valencia in 2018, Toledo in 2019, Zaragoza in 2022, Barcelona in 2023, and Cordoba in 2024, this seventh edition will enhance the event's sustainability through practices that minimize the Congress's environmental impact.
