About this app

Compress photos toward a target file size with SnapSize. Choose a JPEG or PNG image, enter a KB limit and prepare a smaller JPEG on your device for forms, email attachments or sharing.

CONTROL PHOTO SIZE
• Choose 100 KB, 200 KB, 500 KB or 1 MB, or enter a custom KB target.
• Resize images with an optional maximum width and height while preserving the aspect ratio.
• Check the actual output file size, pixel dimensions and JPEG quality before saving.
• Preview and zoom into the result to see how compression affects details.
• Save to your gallery or a chosen location, then share with another app.

PHOTOS STAY ON YOUR DEVICE
Photo compression runs locally. Your images are not uploaded to advertising or analytics services, and your original photo stays unchanged. SnapSize uses the system photo picker and does not require an account.

JPEG OUTPUT
SnapSize converts the result to JPEG. Transparent areas in PNG images become white. Reducing image size can reduce detail, and the selected file size cannot be reached for every photo. If needed, choose a larger target or allow smaller pixel dimensions. Check the result against the upload requirements of the service you use.

ADS AND PRIVACY CHOICES
Photo preparation, saving and sharing are free. The app contains ads; a banner may appear on the result screen. You can optionally complete a rewarded ad to hide banners for 30 minutes. Usage and crash reports are off by default and can be enabled in About. Advertising privacy choices are managed separately.
