You are the leader of Gradnar — a nation caught in a brutal war with Grözland. Your mission: make critical decisions that shape the fate of your army and your country.

This text-based war strategy game blends visual novel storytelling with deep nation and military management. Engage in dialogues with commanders, ministers, soldiers, and medics — each bringing you urgent choices. Buy weapons? Fortify defenses? Launch an attack or fall back?

Provisions

Civilian Support

Use strategic battle maps to plan offensives and manage resources wisely. Your leadership will decide victory or defeat. Lose all soldiers or funds — and the war is over.

Ratings and reviews

I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun War Simulator: 1985 is. The game’s mix of text-based decisions and resource management feels really deep – every choice (weapons, ammo, civilian support) truly matters. The Cold War atmosphere and dialogue make you feel like a real commander, and I kept playing just to see what would happen next. It can get a little repetitive if you play through multiple times, but overall it’s an addictive, immersive experience that I’d highly recommend.

Too many ads, received 4 in a span of a minute. The ads also force me to restart the game. Ads will leave me zoomed in on the game and I cant zoom out.

game glitches and crashes a lot the game becomes unplayable once the currency value reaches at NaN. even though I haven't spent all of my money
