Know what's dangerous before you get there.

Dangers Here maps real-world hazards onto a world map, so you can see the risks around a place before you travel — and get warned if you walk into one.

WHAT'S ON THE MAP
Over 1,000 hazard zones across 300+ hazard types: sharks, jellyfish, weever fish, stonefish and sea snakes; bears, wolves, crocodiles and hippos; ticks, mosquitoes and killer bees; rip currents, shorebreak and sharp coral; quicksand, sinkholes and landslides; earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, heatwaves and tropical cyclones; landmines and conflict zones; pickpocketing, mugging, methanol poisoning and dangerous roads. Famous destinations are covered too — the crowd crush at the Eiffel Tower, the heat at the Colosseum, the steep steps of the Great Wall.

Every zone shows a danger level, the area it covers, recent sightings or incidents where we have them, and plain advice on what to do.

ALERTS THAT FIND YOU
Subscribe to the hazards you care about and the app watches for you in the background. Cross into a shark zone or a tick area and your phone tells you — no need to open the app.

WEATHER AND AIR QUALITY
Forecasts, air quality, live rain radar and satellite imagery on the map. Set your own thresholds for wind, heat, cold and rain, and get a notification when the weather where you are turns.

WORKS WITHOUT SIGNAL
The full hazard database ships inside the app. On a boat, in a desert, up a mountain with no bars — the map still works. When you get a connection again, new and updated hazards arrive automatically.

LOCATION AND ADS
Your location is used to show hazards and weather around you. If you allow background location, the app can also warn you the moment you enter a hazard zone while it is closed — this is optional, and without it the map, hazard list, search and weather still work in full. Coordinates are sent to map and weather providers to fetch data for your area; no location history is uploaded to or stored on our servers. The app is free and shows non-personalised ads.
