About this app
Adventure is better together.
Go Terra Scout is a backcountry mapping app for hunters and anyone else who works off the road system. Satellite and topographic maps, the terrain layers that actually matter, and your whole party on one screen — with everything you need downloaded before you lose service.
READ THE COUNTRY
• Satellite, hybrid, topographic, street and LiDAR-detail basemaps
• 3D hillshade and contour lines to read relief at a glance
• Slope angle shading at 30° and 45°, from USGS 3DEP elevation data
• 3D terrain with adjustable vertical exaggeration
PREPARE FOR NO SERVICE
• Download the country you are headed into and take it with you
• Waypoints, tracks and maps stay on the device
• Everything syncs back up when you find signal again
MARK WHAT YOU FIND
• Waypoint categories built for hunting: stands, blinds, rubs, scrapes, wallows, sheds, kill sites, blood trails, bedding, pinch points, water and more
• Import and export GPX, KML and GeoJSON — bring the pins you already have
• Favourite the spots that matter, hide the ones that do not
NAVIGATE AND RECORD
• Record your track as you walk or ride
• Import a GPX route, or draw one on the map yourself
• Distance, duration and point count saved with every track
COORDINATE WITH YOUR CREW
• Share your location with your group and see each person's last-known position on the map, updated whenever their phone has a connection
• Share waypoints and recorded tracks with the people you are hunting with
• Check in with team messages and push-to-talk voice when you have signal
• Sharing stays off until you turn it on, and stops the moment you turn it off
PLAN THE SEASON
• Published state draw statistics to help you pick a unit
• Solunar tables — sun, moon and feeding times
• A private hunt journal for the days worth remembering
Nothing you mark is shared with anyone until you choose to share it.
