GotOne! is a serious tool for serious anglers - NOT another Facebook for fishermen!

GotOne! is a real simple fishing log app that helps you become a better fisherman through data-driven insights, while contributing to the research and science that protects our fisheries and the fish we love to catch.

GotOne! allows fishermen to log their catches through a few quick taps. For each catch, fishermen record the species and the length of the fish. Based on the location and time of each catch, GotOne! seamlessly records water temperature, moon phase, tide, wind and other environmental information. Fisherman can also record additional, optional information, such as catch notes and other observational information.

DATA PRIVACY
GotOne! takes data privacy VERY seriously. We know that fishermen are protective of their hard-earned fishing knowledge. Personal fishing data is never shared without the user’s permission. Aggregate data generalizes location information to fifteen-mile regions - useful for scientific research applications, but too general to “burn spots.”

app crashes quite a bit. thebauto location being required is pretty frustrating as you cant edit the location. app not built for logging catches after they happen. cant edit time and location data while initially entering information or it crashes. the intent is nice but there is a lot of QoL lacking. I'm happy to volunteer to work on bugs.

Very clever and super useful app for logging fish caught. Plus GPS location, tides and weather conditions! No more scraps of paper or scattershot digital notes. It definitely falls into the "How did no one think of this before?" category. One request: more species, please. Now get those fish back in the water. #catchandrelease

The got one app's appeal for me is the ability to directly participate in conservation efforts in real time. The data logging for MA DMF will be an incredible tool to help mange the Striped Bass species better. The data logging is simple and to the point, And has already helped me understand how I have had the most success at times in the past. Overall a great fishing app.
