About this app

*** Govregs app is developed & maintained by a private company and not affiliated, endorsed, authorized, licensed, or otherwise associated with or by the United States Government. Our data is sourced from www.gpo.gov. See below for details. ***

Governments should be both accessible and transparent to the public. GovRegs' goal is to help facilitate the public's access to the laws that the US Government promulgates. Our mantra is simple: laws are complicated. Navigating them shouldn't be.

GovRegs is a 100% free app that provides the public with access to three types of vital US legal information from the convenience of your mobile device:

(1) US Constitution
(2) Titles 1 through 50 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR)
(3) Titles 1 through 54 of the U.S. Code (federal laws & statutes)

Regulations and US Code come with notes & annotations, including listing of public laws. Through this app, you will be able to access IRS and tax regulations; FDA laws; NASA's rules; Fish & Wildlife; shipping rules; import and export requirements; labor laws; First Amendment on freedom of speech, and much, much more.

The GovRegs app is navigable as well as searchable. All data is stored on our server, which checks for updates to the law regularly. This ensures that you are always accessing the most current laws and also that your mobile device's storage space is not hogged.

GovRegs is provided to the general public for free. We do not charge to download, install, and use. There are no ads. We don't track you, we don't access your phone book, we don't know at which Starbucks you buy your afternoon latte - and we don't want to. This app's purpose has not been to make money, so you don't need to worry about our collecting your personal information in order to sell it. Any data collection that does occur is incidental to app or site operation (e.g., Google Analytics, IP logging consistent with any standard web server, and so forth).

User satisfaction is paramount. If you have any difficulties with the app, feedback, ideas, or complaints, please contact GovRegs at apps@ govregs.com or on Twitter @GovRegs .

YIKES! It seems that Google wants to again delist us because we don't make the above disclaimer clear enough. Unfortunately, there's no easy recourse. Let's try again:

1. WE ARE NOT AN OFFICIAL US GOVERNMENT APP. THE GOVERNMENT MAY KNOW WE EXIST, BUT NOT BECAUSE WE HAVE ANY AFFILIATION WHATSOEVER. WE DO NOT.
2. OUR SOURCES ARE FROM THE US CODE (LAWS), THE FEDERAL REGULATIONS (CFR), AND THE CONSTITUTION. THESE ARE PUBLISHED AND PUBLICLY AVAILABLE BY THE GPO - HTTPS://WWW.GPO.GOV.
3. USC, CFR, CONSTITUTION HAVE NO COPYRIGHT!

Find a better app. Portions of specific sections are missing. I looked for Article 1 Section 4, but Clause 1 regarding Times, Places and Manner of voting was missing as of 10/25/25. It was nice having US Government code, regulations and constitution all in one place though, but if information is missing, I can't trust what is contained.

Really like it and a good way to look up laws, but wished I could bookmark at a particular Title I need to study instead having to still down everytime I leave the app. Can only "favorite parts" that act like book marks but are very narrow and you can't go to the title that the part is found in. Have to go back to the very beginning.

Becky, our sincerest apologies for such a late response. We're upgrading the service, so have been focusing most resources there. We've heard your feedback and will look into this feature request. Thank you for using the GovRegs app!

Cannot trust the accuracy of this app because some information is not included — for example, the Elections clause (Article I, Section 4, Clause 1) is missing: "The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators." This app only includes Clause 2, but not Clause 1. Uninstalled.
