About this game

Explore the world of Dhayavar looking for your brother Andor in this quest-driven fantasy RPG inspired by old-school classics.

Battle monsters in turn-based combat, become stronger through level ups and skills, choose from a wide range of equipment, interact with numerous NPCs, visit shops, inns and taverns, search for treasure, and solve quests to follow the trail of your brother and uncover the secrets of the powers at play in Dhayavar. With luck, you may even find a legendary item!

You can currently visit up to 608 maps and complete up to 84 quests.

The game is completely free. There is no payment to install, no ads, no in-app purchases, and no DLCs. There is no internet access required, and it can run on all versions of Android from 1.6 (Eclair), so it should run on any device, even low-end oldies.

Andor's Trail is open-source software, released under the GPL v2 license.

I actually love this game, but it's so frustrating at how slow any leveling up is. It takes forever to get anywhere and I think it's time to put it away until the game is completed. Real updates are YEARS apart and I loose my place every time I get a new phone, and I just can't keep grinding. It would be massively helpful to have a GPS of sorts to return to places you've been. Just click a "go to" button and have a list of major places that can be whittled down to even a specific person you're trying to find as long as you've been there before. Also, magic and or long range weapons would be awesome, though I understand that means the enemy should have something too.

Fantastic game so far, challenging but not frustratingly difficult. Movement takes a little getting used to but not bad. Ok, rating lowered. I see what everone is talking about, I'm level 12 and still can't make it through the first snake dungeon without getting my ass kicked. I'm an old school, hard RPG fan and this is frustratingly difficult. There needs to be an automatic skill/HP/attack and defense progression, with additional bonuses being available to point buy. Not giving up, but DAMN!

I guess you are in the rough time of early game, where there aren't enough quests to level up quickly yet are not strong enough to go further. Grinding in the snake cave and selling their meat is a common strategy at that point, until you can explore further to the southwest. We are working on adding more early quests.

Too much tapping and no external game saves. I literally got repetitive stress pain from all the fight-tapping. It would be great to have an auto-fight option, even if you risk getting killed. I also changed phones and lost all my progress. There are documented ways to copy the data files but it's a hack that did not work for me. I gave up trying, and abandoned the game. Otherwise It's a pretty good rogue-like dungeon crawler with a very large map and lots of quests, and it's free.
