About this app

Orbitals are the states that electrons occupy in atoms. The size and shape of each orbital, and their enumeration, gives insight into the periodic table, chemical bonding, and quantum mechanics. Electron Orbitals is an interactive tool for visually studying these states. Includes all orbitals up to energy level 12.

Nice and simple. Well done. No complaining from me. And to anyone who would complain, what do you want? It's free, no ads, does exactly what you expect it to do, and works well. Sorry I just had to throw that in because I actually saw a couple comments that had little rediculous nit picky things in them.

Well its a very good app. But I have some suggestions. Can you add a feature to make the orbitals sharped shaped and draw lines to its corresponding orbital to make it easier to understand for beginners.

What an amazing app! Visualizing with different colours has made it more soothing to eyes. I would suggest you to make more applications similar to this like 3D lattices of solids, shales of organic molecules, etc. 🙂

What’s new

Update for Android 17 (Cinnamon Bun) and bugfixes. Recent changes: added a pause button for stopping the color rotation, this app is now open source, uses edge-to-edge design, energy levels up to 12, anti-aliased coordinate axes, and color blind modes.
