【overview】
Since 2004, the Research Center of the University of Physical Education for the Elderly has been testing an exercise regimen using ``interval walking'' for more than 7,300 middle-aged and elderly people nationwide, mainly in Nagano Prefecture.
The results of this research have shown that just six months of training can improve physical fitness by up to 20%, reduce symptoms of lifestyle-related diseases by 20%, and reduce medical costs by 20%. *1,2,3
