About this game

Not every path to the portal leads to the right. Sometimes it starts with a fall upward, a sideways push, or a misplaced block that suddenly proves useful. Spookbox Gravity is a multi-level 2D platformer with gravity mechanics, where the player controls a white block with eyes, the Spookbox, and tries to guide it to the exit to the next level.

Spookbox Gravity is based on a clear yet flexible idea: blocks with arrows are placed throughout the level, and when you touch them, the direction of gravity changes in the direction of the arrow. After this, the familiar space ceases to be familiar. The floor becomes a wall, the wall becomes a road, and falling becomes a tool. This is why Spookbox Gravity feels less like a typical platformer and more like a series of compact spatial puzzles.

In some levels of Spookbox Gravity, blocks appear that obey gravity and can be moved by the spookbox itself. Sometimes they help you reach the portal, close a dangerous section, or create a necessary support. Other times, on the contrary, they get in the way, getting stuck in the wrong place, and forcing you to find a different course of action. This is the essence of Spookbox Gravity: the game doesn't rush you, but constantly tests how accurately you've read the level.

The challenge in Spookbox Gravity depends on the specific scene: in some, you simply need to change the direction of your fall correctly, in others, you need to use moving blocks, and in others, you need to prevent them from ruining your route. Spookbox Gravity combines a minimalist look, clear rules, and gradual difficulty, creating a calm yet gripping game about movement, weight, and carefully navigating your way to the portal!
