Stop forgetting stuff!
I made Pulse because I couldn't find anything else that suited what I wanted. What did I want? Fast, offline only, secure tracking of all the random crap I've got to do every single day, Primarily my ADHD med which throws my entire day into disarray when I forget it! But also lots of other stuff.
I myself use it to remember things like multivitamins, creatine, collagen, and even reminders to get up from my desk and do a few pushups throughout the workday. I also schedule alerts for things like re occurring meetings that aren't every day, like a M/W/F meeting that i happen to show up to late once or twice a week!
What sets Pulse apart? Two things: Its fast! and the Urgent mode! For those REALLY important items you cant afford to miss, Pulse can leverage your Alarm volume and ignore the fact that your phone is on silent to play your choice of noises to nag you about something, and then it KEEPS nagging you every 5 minutes until you do it. Pretty annoying! Pretty darn useful!
Pulse lets you schedule items for daily, only certain days of the week, or even certain days of the month. Its been a massive help for me, and once I got it working, I actually left it unpublished on the app store for a couple of months and used it myself because I had what I needed, but a friend asked me to make it available to her as well, so I figured I may as well polish it up and publish it for real.
You can have normal notifications that respect your system setting(my phone lives on vibrate), or urgent ones that will play whatever noise you want. I like it a lot, and I'm open to suggestions too.
I've also got it set up to export your database if you're getting a new phone(remember this things offline completely), and then restore it on the new one. You can also export a CSV for tracking yourself or giving to a doctor if you're into that sort of thing.1
