About this game

Every streak pays more. Every streak also kills the board.

Gridchoke is a free offline puzzle game built on one decision you make over and
over: keep the streak, or throw it away.

HOW THIS PUZZLE WORKS

Drag through three or more touching gems of the same color. Diagonals count. Clear
that same color again and your heat combo climbs - x1.5, x2.0, x2.5, all the way to
the x6.0 red line, multiplying every point you score.

Here is the catch. Every chain in a streak seizes live gems into locks. Dead cells.
Unusable. The deeper the color match streak, the more locks per chain. Twenty-four
locks and the grid chokes and your run is over.

The only way out is to give up the thing paying you. Chain a different color and the
streak breaks: every lock shatters back into gems, you cash a release bonus scaled to
the combo you just walked away from, and the clock ticks back up.

So how long do you hold on?

THREE WAYS TO PLAY

CLASSIC - 75 seconds. A pure score attack puzzle. Releases are the only way to buy
more time.

DAILY TRAP - one daily puzzle, seeded from today's date, the same board for
everybody. One run a day worth caring about, plus a fortnight of history.

ENDLESS - no clock. Releases only vent part of the pile, so the grid silts up no
matter how well you play. Not whether you choke, but when.
