About this app

Bring your Green Mountain Grill into the 21st century with our grill management app. This app utilizes WiFi technology and has a range of up to 40 meters in point to point mode. You also have the ability to connect your grill to your home network in WiFi Mode and to our cloud based system in server mode. You can create grill profiles, monitor meat temps, set timers and alarms, and adjust grill temps from inside your home or anywhere. We have recently added calibration tools to calibrate both air temperature and probe temperatures. Stay tuned for updates and additional features on future releases.

*Note: Requires updated WIFI controller for use with grills built before 8/1/14

*Note: Some devices incorrectly require location services to be enabled to use the Coarse Location permission to detect nearby WiFi networks. If having trouble selecting a network please try enabling the Location Services for your device.

I was very excited to purchase this grill for the Wi-Fi features that it offered. But unfortunately I can never get the app and the grill to connect I have troubleshooted with Tech Support multiple times. They have even sent me a new motherboard 3 times. It never fails though I will get it to connect the first time after that I might go a day or 2 or a few weeks before I use it Again and then when I try to connect to the Wi-Fi and it will not connect.

App crashes instantly Every time I open it. when it does not crash, it crashes when I press the connect button. I have tried the beta. uninstalled, rebooted, installed, rebooted. nothing seems to work. I have tried the prime app. it tells me I need to update firmware and fails, stating I need to update using the legacy app. it used to work well.

It's a great feature to be able to connect to a grill and control it from your cell phone, I have no problem connecting to the grill's wifi, but seldomly does the app actually connect to the grill, I've tried starting and stopping app, resetting my phone, reinstalling app and using another device. It works maybe 20% of the time; disappointing because it's the primary reason I went with this grill.
