William Hill is a memory game built around the spark test at the grinding wheel. Flip cards two at a time and pair each steel grade with the spark burst it throws when it meets the emery. One card names a grade, the other describes its sparks — long yellow carrier lines, short dark red streaks, bright dense star bursts, few forks or many. Find the two that belong together and the pair stays open.
The idea is simple: train your eye the way a metalworker does before stepping up to the wheel to identify an unknown piece of steel by sight. Every grade in William Hill has its own spark signature, so matching is about reading the burst, not memorising a fixed layout. Each round pulls a random set of grades and shuffles the board fresh, so your memory does the work every time.
Your result is counted in moves and time. A move is one pair of flips; the timer starts on your first card and stops when the last pair is cleared. Fewer moves win, and if two runs tie on moves, the faster time takes it. Your best result is kept separately for each difficulty, so you can push each board on its own.
Pick your challenge in Settings. Easy is a 3 by 4 board with three pairs, Normal steps up to 4 by 4 with eight pairs, and Hard fills a 4 by 5 grid with ten pairs. Toggle sound on or off and reset your best results whenever you want a clean slate.
