Grindnote is an offline brewing journal for people who would rather repeat a good cup than guess at it.
TASTING LOGS
Record every brew: the bean origin or brand, roast profile, grind setting, dose in grams, water in millilitres, brew time, and a score out of five, plus free-form notes on how it actually tasted. Each entry shows the brew ratio calculated from your dose and water, so 15 g and 250 ml reads as 1:16.7.
RECIPES
Save repeatable templates with a target grind, dose, water volume, time target and step-by-step instructions. Mark the ones you keep coming back to as favourites and they stay pinned to the top of the list.
BREW TIMER
A circular timer tracks your extraction against the target time of the selected recipe, with guidance for the bloom, extraction and draw-down phases as the seconds tick by.
FOUR BREW METHODS
V60, AeroPress, Espresso and French Press. Filter your tasting logs by method or by roast level — light, medium or dark — and filter your recipes by method.
SEARCH
Find a past brew by bean name, tasting note or grind setting. Find a recipe by name, instructions or grind.
STATISTICS
See your total number of brews, your average rating, the brewing tool you reach for most, and how your brews are distributed across light, medium and dark roasts.
COMPLETELY OFFLINE
No account, no sign-up, and no internet permission at all. Every log and recipe lives in a local database on your device. No ads, no analytics, no tracking.
Light and dark themes follow your system setting. Grindnote starts with a handful of example recipes and tasting notes so the app isn't empty on first launch.
Log coffee brews, save recipes, time extractions and track your ratings.
