About this app
GrooveDMX listens to the music and turns it into a light show. It detects beat, tempo and the structure of a track and drives a DMX rig: par cans, moving heads, strobes and haze.
What the app does
• Detects beat, kick, claps and hi-hats and puts them into light
• Detects sections: intro, break, build, drop, outro
• Estimates the genre from the sound and adapts mood, colour set and flash appetite. You can also pick it by hand
• More than twenty looks, from calm sweeps to a storm of flashes
• A spatial preview of your rig, so you see where the heads point before you build it
• Output over USB (Open DMX, Enttec DMX USB Pro, uDMX) or Wi-Fi (Art-Net)
• A guide inside the app, step by step
• Keeps running when the screen is off
• German and English
No internet
The app talks to no server. Its only network connection goes to your lighting interface on the same Wi-Fi.
Free, Pro and Club
Free: all looks and modes except AI, up to 8 devices.
Pro, bought once and yours for good: a built-in player for music from a folder, AI mode that plans the show for the whole track, and unlimited devices.
Club for clubs, bars and events: everything in Pro, plus a PIN lock for staff, autostart as the home screen, a fallback show on silence, opening hours and quick room switching.
Free and Pro are for private use. Commercial use requires Club.
