About this app

Edegu is a mobile app for ChildFund Ethiopia employees and regional support coordinators. It supports field data collection, visit recording, and program monitoring across Ethiopia’s regions.

Staff can record ECD center visits, parenting sessions, attendance, and other program activities. The app captures GPS location for visit verification and allows attaching photos for documentation. Data can be collected offline and synced when the connection is restored.

Edegu is published on the Google Play Store so ChildFund Ethiopia staff can easily install and use it on their Android devices for program work in the field.

What’s new

Edegu helps field teams register and manage early childhood development (ECD) programs on the go. You can create and update ECD centers, child profiles, and attendance records, and complete structured forms step by step—even when connectivity is unreliable.
The app also supports parenting sessions (groups, members, sessions, and follow-up forms) and self-help group (SHG) workflows—including meetings, members, weekly finance, and related documentation.
