About this app

Gold Services is a gold measurement and trading app. It is the best way to determine gold purity! You can easily perform accurate gold gravity and density measurements. You will be able to test and trade gold all in one app. You will be protected from buying fake gold.
Also, it will provide exact international and local gold prices to you when trading. Detailed features of the app follows:

- Perform manual and automatic measurement of gold. Gold properties being determined include density, carat, purity, ounce purity, TEOF etc. The device will need to be connected to an external balance through USB or Bluetooth when performing automatic measurements. **
- Save and generate gold measurement receipts which can be later reviewed, shared or printed ***.
- Import gold measurements performed by the app via QR code.
- Generate manual or automatic list of weight measurements which can be shared or printed ***.
- Perform gold additions from multiple saved measurements.
- Save and generate purchase and sale invoices based on gold measurements.
- Calculate gold price using gold properties from saved measurements and live local or International gold prices.
- Perform test authentication, for safety, when importing previously performed gold measurements.
- Purchase or sell gold by specifying bidding or asking prices.
- Get advice on selling and purchase of gold based on measurements.


** Currently, the app supports only Mettler-Toledo gold balances
*** Printing can be performed automatically in-app through Bluetooth by pairing with one or more of our approved DATECS printers. An alternative is sharing an image and printing with any other desired printer brands.
**** Some of the features listed above will be rolling out in subsequent app update releases.


Important note regarding permissions:
Please note that the Gold Services Lite app require some (mostly optional) permissions to work optimally. There are prompts when performing actions that will require these permissions:
- Camera: This allows the app to scan QR code when importing tests.
- Bluetooth: This is for pairing with approved gold balances and printers.
- Coarse location: This is required for discovering bluetooth printers or balances before pairing.
- Access network state: This allows the app to know when internet connection is available after it has been lost, then it repeats any pending operation(s) automatically.
- Storage: Allows the app to read gold images or QR from the gallery, and to store / share generated invoices in the device.
