they're all scams, every one of these i've tried has something or other that's dodgy about it. why is it using 107mb ram? why have i lost 12% of my battery in half an hour? all it tells me is everything my phone can tell me anyway and it's using google services to send something somewhere and i'm having to let it use all these resources so it can send my information. worse than useless it's exactly as i'd thought, since uninstalling my battery's not running down nearly as fast as it was even with media running in a web browser. none of my applications use nearly as much power as this does. at the same time as selling your information to third parties it keeps you dependent on it by making you think that the problem's much worse than it is. my battery was running down at the mad rate of 20+% an hour, now it's down to about 8-10% an hour. how do they expect anyone to consider this a solution?
I'm thinking this app should help me diagnose which app is my battery sucker but I'm really confused why is it always "Android System" or "Kernel (Android OS)". Could there be a way for the app to show or explain at least what might be happening? Nice app btw
This app saved my battery. I thought my battery suddenly draining quickly was due to it being faulty but enabling root and giving it access showed me exactly what was draining my battery. It was the media extractor function of the OS due to some corrupted music files I transferred over. My battery life is now as good as it ever was.
For the record this tool is exceptional, it correctly monitors wakelocks and usage very well. It makes good use of available data, yet there is data available to make it even more useful. For example in app sucker, it has a breakdown of all the apps. This includes kernel and android system, and breaks down these into their modules, but does not expand the percentage use of these modules only outlining the count of wake locks caused. Which is useful too of course!
'App Sucker' Feature Currently the app doesn't monitor the apps (at least for non rooted Pixel) so it can't/won't display which apps have been hogging the most battery. But other than that everything else seems to work. This could be a Nougat hurdle, the feature did work on my older phone and I was able to monitor which apps were using most battery. Would be great if fix in the works. Thank you for the great app.
So far, so good on my Alcatel running 4.4.2. Has some nice features I wasn't expecting like sorting by CPU usage and network data usage. However, the app is pretty "heavy" with bells & whistles that may or may not be useful (graphs, icons, themes, etc). It also has ads that can only be turned off if you allow the app to collect anonymous usage data. Remove the ads and trim the fat and I'd give it 5 stars.
